Week 17 PSYCHO aWARD

Week 17 PSYCHO aWARD: The Benchwarmers

The weekly PSYCHO aWARD goes to the players, officials, or team that cause you to curse at the TV during the game and puts you on the edge of insanity.

Right now, the Cleveland Browns are hoping that they get the Indianapolis Colts on their schedule next year. Had the Colts played their starters the entire game against the Titans, the Browns most likely would be headed to San Diego. The best quote of the night during the game was: "after watching Jim Sorgi's performance, the Colt's need to give Manning another raise". After tonight, it was made real obvious that Jim Sorgi is very fortunate to be collecting a pay check. Browns' fans and those that took the Titans -6.5 also want to know why coach Dungy didn't use his last time out at the end of the game to force the Titans to run a 4th down play.

It wasn't just the Colts that felt the need to rest their starters for the playoffs and get their benchwarmers some action. The Buccaneers, Jaguars, Steelers, Seahawks, and Cowboys all lost games against teams they probably would have beaten if the game actually meant something. This is just something to keep in the back of your mind when picking games next year in week 17.
