Week 16 PSYCHO aWARD: Pretenders NOT Contenders
The weekly PSYCHO aWARD goes to the players, officials, or team that cause you to curse at the TV during the game and puts you on the edge of insanity.
Tip your caps off to the spoiler teams this weekend. Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles knocked off playoff contenders this weekend. The Cleveland Browns who last made the playoffs in 2002 blew a golden opportunity to make the playoffs this year. Simply beat the 5-9 Bengals and they were in. However, four costly turnovers by Derek Anderson did the Browns in. Now the Tennessee Titans (9-6) can claim the AFC's final playoff berth by beating second stringers from Indianapolis in Week 17. In the NFC, the New Orleans Saints blew an opportunity to be the last wild card spot. The Saints held the tiebreaker between the Redskins and Vikings and now need losses from both teams next weekend and a win at Chicago.
Meanwhile, the Vikings find themselves in the same situation as the Browns. They need HELP. The Redskins need to lose to the Cowboys second stringers and the Vikings need a win at Denver.
